I am all over this post. I was in Michigan last weekend (anything to keep from posting) teaching a felting workshop to the ladies of the club. What a blast. We all needle felted little manatees and then everyone moved on to their own thing. In the afternoon we wet felted beads and small vessels. I LOVE working with this wooly stuff.

So, where is the rest of the hummingbird? That had great promise. Photo please.

It was a fun project. . . . and a great day, except we missed Lee so much. The day was over too soon (as usual). I like Lee’s idea of a ‘retreat’ for all of us in Carson City some day. Ruby was with us, so we still have five gals present. What is it we are doing next time? Wonderful pictures, Liza. Thanks……..

I didn’t think it was going to be easy for me, but it was! Seems like one of the best features of needle felting is that you can create gradients with color that are really smooth and interesting, without too much effort. So this is particularly good for items that call out for one color changing organically into another. No sharp edge for me this time… We missed you Lee, because we can see how you might like this.

Whaaa! I am so jealous. It really looks like so much fun. Love Jody’s bird. We’re going to have to have a retreat or something on the Eastern Side so I can learn how to do this. That is, after my right arm becomes usable again. Mom

Felt obligated to chime in on “our” blog–Crafty Chix is possibly the most wonderful group ever created. I mean, really, who would ever dream that the five of us actually LOVE to be with each other and actually create some wonderful stuff. We’re all a trifle on the artsy side and I hope that Liza will find some of the old photos of some of our creations. Cheers to us, Lee

What a fun day. Great project, primarily due to Liza’s fabulous eBay button haul. Can’t wait to find the perfect ribbon for my wreath. Will upload a pic when it’s finished. Thanks again, ladies.
